Where has MedWish served so far?

It’s August, and with things being slow around Cleveland, now is a great time to reflect on what MedWish has accomplished so far this year. How do these statistics sound? Let us know what you think by commenting below!

  • 42 countries served, including first-time shipments to Myanmar, Laos, and more.
  • Over 200,000 pounds of usable equipment saved from our landfills.
  • Over 220,000 pounds redistributed around the world, via 16 containers and 84 hand-carries
  • 67 Medical Brigade participants saw 1,667 patients in Nicaragua.
  • 460 people attended Band Aid Bash 2011, making it our most successful event ever!
  • Over $450,000 raised towards our goal of $661,000.

Not too shabby!

Want to thank you for the good work that you are doing. I am a physician and I am from Sierra Leone. Been in the USA for twenty five years now. I am hoping to return home this year, 2012 and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare of my people. I want to start a Hospital and clinic and would appreciate MEDWISH helping me, and by definition Sierra Leoneans, in providing me with much needed supplies. Thank you.
