International Aid

Working with healthcare facilities and medical missions around the world, MedWish accepts applications for medical aid and matches our extensive inventory with recipient's needs.

To date, MedWish has shipped to recipients in 115 countries ranging from one piece of equipment, a box of supplies, or a full 40' cargo container.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

MedWish was founded as an international humanitarian aid organization, working to get critically needed medical supplies into the hands of those in need around the world since our inception in 1993. Recipients of our supply shipments are primarily clinics and hospitals located throughout Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Central & South America.
Patient needs often range from preventive and routine care to chronic and life-threatening conditions. MedWish works with each of our recipients to establish a specific wish list of the needed items in order to properly prepare each shipment. The supplies we distribute provide doctors and nurses with the items they often lack otherwise.

Freight Shipments: 8 weeks

Expedited shipments will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be assessed a rush fee of 25% of the total fee for service.

Follow-Up

All recipients are required to report back to MedWish within 60 days of arrival of the shipment to its final destination.

Click here to submit the feedback form online along with any photos, notes, or other materials you wish to include.

MedWish reserves the right to deny future shipments if the recipient fails to provide feedback.

Delivery Options

Hand-Carried Shipments

Hand-carried shipments are best for smaller projects, like medical mission trips or situations that may require a more immediate response. This method of transport can range from a small box to several suitcases and allows individuals or groups to take only what they need and check it with their luggage.

Recipients must make an appointment if picking up supplies at the MedWish Warehouse. Please call 216-692-1685.

Please note: To receive a hand-carried shipment, you must have a contact at your international destination who can provide a wish list of needed items for humanitarian/charitable health care. MedWish does not provide coordinating services between travelers and potential recipients.

Freight Shipments

MedWish has the ability to fulfill wish lists for larger projects, like outfitting clinics or hospitals. Our warehouse staff can pack shipments ranging from a single pallet to a fully-packed, ready-to-ship 40’ shipping container.

Please note: Recipients of MedWish supplies must coordinate their own shipping and customs arrangements. If you are new to overseas shipping, we may be able to refer you to resources for more information to help with the process.

Financial Responsibilities

Recipients are not charged for the medical equipment and supplies that MedWish provides. Processing and handling fees still apply based on the scale of the order, not the commercial or intrinsic value of the item(s). Because of the ongoing support of various individuals, corporations, and foundations, we are able to reduce these fees to a portion of the costs.

No payment is due at the time of application. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due prior to packing list assembly with remaining fees due prior to shipment. Shipping costs are in addition to the processing and handling fee.
