We can make a world of difference!

The Story of MedWish

Founded in 1993, MedWish International is a nonprofit organization that saves lives and the environment by repurposing surplus medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid to people in need.

Our Approach

In 2023, MedWish diverted more than 800,000 lbs. of medical surplus from landfills and distributed over 497,000 lbs. of supplies and equipment. These efforts impacted over 1.4 million people across the world.

Get Involved

The large-scale effort MedWish undertakes to deliver urgently needed medical equipment and supplies is built on an infrastructure of incredible supporters: health care systems, logistics partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and help those in need. At MedWish, we rely heavily on our volunteers to help us sort and count medical supplies.

Reminder: Each week in February, one volunteer will be drawn to win a gift card for a sweet treat. There are still TWO more drawings and some spots available - visit medwish.org/volunteer to register today!
A few weeks ago, we shared two shipments to Ukraine were underway. The second of the two 40’ containers was an order in partnership with @_____urgent , a recent MedWish recipient organization.

This shipment contained nearly 15,000 pounds of medical supplies and equipment including items ranging from wound care to exam tables.
In October, we prepared trauma and wound care supplies for a hospital in southern Israel. Currently, we are working to prepare and send aid to help civilians in Gaza with our recipient partner Anera.

To respond to these needs, we need your help. Please consider supporting this shipment and these efforts to allow us to waive our processing fees and cover shipping and customs-related expenses. Visit medwish.org/donate to learn more.

The donations of the purewicks and female external catheters were absolutely amazing and I am beyond words grateful. My mother passed away in the comfort of my home. It was with the help of these donations that allowed me to keep her home and in my care as long as I did.
