The Story of MedWish
Founded in 1993, MedWish International is a nonprofit organization that saves lives and the environment by repurposing surplus medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid to people in need.
Our Approach
In 2023, MedWish diverted more than 800,000 lbs. of medical surplus from landfills and distributed over 497,000 lbs. of supplies and equipment. These efforts impacted over 1.4 million people across the world.

We hit a very important milestone for Local Giving -- we distributed order #1,000!
The Slavic Village Development Corporation is just one example of the importance of our Local & Domestic Giving Program here at MedWish Medworks. For this order, they picked up over 300 pounds of household and hygiene supplies, as these vital products are not covered by SNAP or other benefits.
So far this year they have distributed nearly 1,400 pounds of much needed supplies and equipment to the community, and are working hard to improve the health and vitality of their neighbors.
